Your images and PDFs. Files you choose or paste are processed entirely in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else, and we cannot see them or the extracted text.
Code and language data. The OCR engine (Tesseract.js) and its language files are downloaded from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), which receives standard request data such as your IP address under its own privacy policy. PDF.js is served from this site.
Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and request logs to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies and advertising. We do not currently show ads or set advertising cookies. We plan to show ads from Google AdSense. When we do, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we will ask for consent through a certified consent tool before any ad cookies are used. We will update this page before ad code goes live.
Children. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We count anonymous page views and clicks on outbound links with our own cookie-free counter, to see which pages are useful. It records the page, the referring site and the country only. No cookies are set and no IP addresses are stored.
